So there's no real amenities at this place even though you pay a resort and amenities fee. Property doesnt have the restaurant running at the inn which is the only real amenity so that was a major bummer since you kind of rely on it being open for dinner considering everything else is 40 mins out w/o traffic. The rooms were really nice at one point but now theres visible cracks in the ceiling and pillars as well as a change in the quality of beds they have. My wife and I noticed immediately when we laid on the mattress is was a cheaper one than before because we got the same room again this time around and we wanted to go home and sleep on our mattress at home because its nicer than what they offer now. Overall gorgeous land around the area just think you could probably get a better experience this point at an Air BNB over in little compton or somewhere nearby..major dip in quality overall from our last visit. I hope this property is doing okay..we'd like to see it last and do better in the future!

Staying at the Stone House feels like a step back in time. The property is both historic and modern, with simple yet elegant rooms that would seem right at home in Finland. My only note: the $35 activity fee, which covers a very simple continental breakfast of boxed cereal, oatmeal packets, fresh fruit, toasted oats, yogurt, bagels, boiled eggs, and pastry. For two people, there's no way we ate or could have eaten $35 of this stuff. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The room and staff were great. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. We had a minor inconvenience with the room and the staff took care of us monetarily, which they didn’t have to do. It’s an excellent spot if you’re looking to unplug.

The essence of Rhode Island!!!

Our room was beautiful… Spacious is an understatement. The view was fantastic, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Everything about the property was fantastic.

This is a truly unique destination - calm, beautifu, quiet. The staff were enormously friendly and helpful. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Our room had excellent views of the water and the sunrise/sunset. The campfire pit is beautiful and easy to manage, the nightly s'mores are a wonderful touch! Breakfast was sumptuous and of outstanding quality. Perfect for a romantic getaway (such as ours) or for families with children (as for other guests). The nearby beaches were wonderful. The bikes, beach chairs/towels, and corn hole game were all welcome additions!

This inn is in a terrific location but fell a little short with the amenities offered. The literature mentioned things such as a fire pit at night and drinks/small bites at the historic tavern. The fire pit did not happen the night we were there and the tavern was closed for some reason. There are not many other options close by so to have the tavern closed was unfortunate. We had a room in the adjoining barn that was very spacious and well maintained. However, there was definitely an odor that indicated moistness on the first floor and some of the hallway areas.

A Fabulous Adventure

A beautiful piece of history! The house is lovely and unique! We stayed in the Lantern Room which had access to the cupola via a spiral staircase in the room! The view from there is spectacular! We ordered a charcuterie board for a light dinner and ate it in the cupola while enjoying the scenery. You can bike (free to use), walk along the shore, swim, enjoy meals out, read, play games and so much more! Delicious breakfast is provided each morning while warm cookies and lemonade are served each afternoon! You can relax or be as busy as you want to be!! We loved our 3 day visit!!

Wonderful staff. Very nice, very spacious and well appointed room. The included breakfast is a self-service continental affair, but consists of extremely fresh croissants and pastries, juices, fruit, cereals, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs, toast and coffee/tea. On the downside, there is no on-site restaurant and you are on your own for lunches and dinners.
