「Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. 「Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Yes it was budget and it was just for an overnight stop in a continuing journey but broken tiles, broken and damaged panels & threadbare curtains. No staff available in the morning to discuss. Just very Delapidated and way past worn out!!」

「This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees.」

「A good overnight stop on our journey to the south coast! Very friendly staff in the bar welcomed us, and were extremely helpful. Nicely decorated and spacious rooms. A good choice of decent meals on the bar menu available in the pub, so convenient not having to dine elsewhere. Excellent value, and both the evening and morning staff were great. Yes, a bit of road noise, and extractor noise heard in our 2 rooms, but we are used to silent nights living in a rural location!」
