Tidy room. comfy bed, good en-suite, decent TV in room, good on-site parking. No lift, fairly steep stairs.

From the outside the hotel is starting to show its age but clearly there is refurbishment work ongoing. The public areas and rooms are spotless, well appointed and comfortable. The rooms are large and comfortable and we will use the hotel again

Good: easy parking, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Bad: no breakfast available, weak WiFi in bedroom, feels very dated and unloved as a property.

They don’t serve breakfast anymore, which was a huge let-down. Also, no A/C or fans during the heat-wave was insane.

We needed a cheap stop over and price fitted , was once a best western group but now independent , looking tired , heating on full and no means of turning down had to you air conditioning which cannot be cost effective for the premises

Room was clean and spacious, staff friendly. I booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. This was during a heat wave, the air-conditioning was not working and windows did not open fully. No fans offered and the bed had a medium weight duvet and nothing lighter. I left early because it was impossible to sleep. I understand the aircon has been broken for some time

Booked a room in April / 2026 because website said it had Air Conditioning and a onsite restaurant. When arriving on July 8th/2026 hotel had neither. England experiencing a heat wave and no air conditioning.
Front desk said A/C quit three weeks prior to my check in date. Would have appreciated a notice prior to checking in and I would have found another place. Front desk provided a fan which was of little help. Front desk said they would contact management about a refund since we checked out a day early. Never happened on the refund.
Would definitely not recommend!

Room was ok and probably would stay again for the money I paid. However, my first night there I had no towels. I was told the bar would open at 6 so returned down to get myself a soft drink. They didn’t have any in the fridge so got the last one from the cupboard and it was warm.
Google does say there is breakfast but there isn’t. The hot water also took ages. I nearly have up and was gonna report it as no hot water but thought I’d wait. And it eventually between 3 to 5 mins every time.
The room needs a lot of tlc.

The hotel was cheap £60 a night, the room
was clean and tidy and tea and coffee provided. It obviously used to be a Best Western but it has seen better days with no restaurant, bar or breakfast although the facilities clearly did exist. If you are after a basic hotel for a night then it is ideal
