「Rooms and corridors VERY dated and in desperate need of painting. Breakfasts great but dinners not so tasty. Lovely grounds and communal seating area smart and comfortable. Shower in room inside bath and it was poor and running hot and cold. Bed not the worst but certainly not the most comfortable. All in all a very expensive mistake which will not happen again.」

「The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...
