"We had seen this spot a couple of years back when driving through Kinston, and we finally made a weekend trip to stay. This motor lodge is a dream. The front staff was wonderful and kind, they sell their local beer right there, they have popcorn in the lobby and had cookies fresh baked when we arrived, and they have a cute little breakfast nook. Their rooms are all completely renovated but with original bathroom tile, and they are spotless. The renovations are a nod to the past, but they also are modern and comfy. The ac worked so well too, and the bed was really comfy. Everything worked well and I literally have nothing but positive comments. If you are on the fence, come and stay. The area doesn't have a ton to do, but there are cute restaurants and it is also close to the coast for a cheaper price. :) I even got a little car sticker and keychain on the way out the door because I wanted to help advertise this cute spot. There are not a ton of motor lodges left, and seeing this one restored so well is wonderful."
