This machiya is stunning and a great alternative to a traditional ryokan. RESI stay make staying here easy with reception office near Kyoto station, a place to leave your bags for the day and a shuttle bus to your accommodation in the afternoon. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The accommodation has been recently renovated and spotless. The traditional wooden ofuro has probably got to be the best bathing experience we have had and can hold 2 adults lying down. The place is conveniently located next to vegetable and meat shop, a 7-11 and a small LIFE I think if you want to cook yourself. But equally there are many restaurants to eat at even across the road. Some main attractions are walking distance. Would stay here again.
