Fantastic place to stay in Tokyo... especially with a family. Very clean. Nice view! Great kitchen, TVs, sitting area, washer / dryer. The only challenge was checking in at a separate location however that was a small price to pay for such a great overall experience!

Our stay in Kyoto at the Resi Stay was wonderful. We were able to send some of our luggage ahead, and it was waiting for us at the check-in counter across the street from the train station, which is where you check in. We stayed in 1F and it was huge and very quiet, and it had laundry. We loved exploring Kyoto from this location, as it's so close to a very cute part. We only wish we made a better plan for seeing the rest of Kyoto. It's big and spread out.

This hotel is situated perfectly for walking, riding the train or taking the bus. The customer service is very good and they respond quickly to any questions. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay in Gion!

Amazing property!!! The check in process was really easy, just be sure to check in at the Resi Stay office near Kyoto station and they will provide a complimentary shuttle back to the property. Our location in Gion was a large space for our group of three, and was very clean and modern. It was a short walk to the nearest station and their is plenty to do in the area. When we return to Kyoto, we would be happy to have a second stay at this amazing property, and would recommend it to all.

This is NOT a hotel

To be clear, this is NOT a hotel, it is an apartment you are renting. You are required to check in at an office building not in the Kyoto Station as stated, but by the Kyoto station. Directions are given, but the signs are in Japanese, so good luck finding the place. We walked around for an hour before someone came out to find us. It was a horrible experience. This is a most strange apartment in that it is about 15’ wide by 85’ long. The bedroom is at the far end and the bathroom is at the opposite end. Everything is as was advertised, but some things to note, there is no dining table or living space. The only place to eat is at a counter that is to low to stand at and too high to sit at (and I am tall) There were 8 rather uncomfortable dining chairs in the kitchen area, but no table. With no family area, the only place to relax was in the bedroom on the bed. There is no sofa or stuffed chairs to relax in. If you speak and read Japanese, your stay will be more relaxing. The only TV we could get to work was Japanese channels. The location was nice and walking to the shopping area and getting to the temple and pavilions was easy. Overall it was not a pleasant stay.

The RESI Stay GION was a lovely apartment to holiday in. It had everything you needed and was very clean and fresh. A great location near the train station, supermarket and lots of great restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend anyone staying here.

とてもきれいで快適です。2階からの音が響くことに注意

内装は非常にきれいで清潔感があり快適でした。 アメニティも充実していて、基本的には問題ないと思いますがバスローブなどの部屋着がありませんので気をつけたほうが良さそうです。 また、今回は1階に宿泊したのですが、2階の宿泊者が走り回る音がかなり気になりレセプションカウンターに対処をお願いしましたが改善されませんでしたので、音が気になる方は2階に宿泊をおすすめします。 あとは特に不足もなく、快適に過ごすことができました。

Home away from home in Gion

Great location, a 1-minute walk to nearest train station. Washer/dryer (in one - very cool!), great amenities, spacious apartment, provided all our needs and comforts in a very clean home away from home. Quiet neighborhood in Gion, 10-minute walk to Pontocho and lively neighborhood across the river. Going across to the check-in office is an extra step that is a little inconvenient, but the office is directly across from the Kyoto station so at least the location is convenient; the staff in the office was very friendly and helpful.
