「This hotel is good value and in a good location. The beds are comfy, and nice decor. I feel the TV is too small, bathroom tap is very wobbly, and the corridor and doors paintwork is very scratched and shabby. I did put about the paintwork on last review a couple of months ago when we stayed, but nothing has been improved. Just needs a lick of paint and it would be much better! My bathroom door also looks very shabby and disintegrating at the bottom.」

「Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)」

「Really nice hotel. Room was really hot but it was a heat wave and probably not a problem most of the time. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially in the pub for dinner and breakfast. Easy access to train station and travel in to London. Was a nice place to stay outside of all the business. Easy access to Stansted airport too. Would definitely stay again.」

「The breakfast was worth having and served 6-10 which was ideal. The accommodation was quite noisy being next to a main road with traffic most of the day and early morning. For anyone visiting with children I would take an extension lead as not enough sockets for the gadgets they might have.」
