「There was something wrong with everything in our room. Everything was broken or not working right. I even had to have the refrigerator in our room replaced the very 1st night because it was warm, and I had medication with us that needed to be refrigerated. The beds were stained, uncomfortable, and disgusting. I also had to call for an extra blanket for the pull out couch that should have already been in our room, also that pull out couch was so stained, and disgusting I had to call down for...

「This was such a nice place with a tranquil waterview to enjoy from back deck. The room was spacious and well appointed. I appreciated the quiet, cozy atmosphere and loved the close walk to Decoys Seafood restaurant which was great. The bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable and of high quality. 「This hotel has seen better days. There is obvious damage in the rooms like cracks in the walls and shower area. The rooms need to be redesigned, the furniture in them is not efficient fpr the space so it feels very cramped. The A/C system needs an overhaul as does the breakfast options. Having only low-fat everything isnt good. The pool is tiny and unheated so its an ice box. The location is nice if you need to be in downtown Norfolk.」

「The property appeared clean with a very friendly and efficient staff. However, I did find a huge cockroach on the 3rd day. It was taken care if quickly by staff and I never saw evidence of another one. The pool was clean and property provided towels which is nice. Room for improvement would be having some toys for the kids to play with for examaple some beach balls and floating noodles , that kind of stuff. Breakfast was good, tasty and a varied selection. No coffee except during breakfast...
