"The hotel in general is in very poor physical condition: cracked and peeling paint, dirty carpets indide the rooms and common hallways. In our room, the bed, sink, toilet and flat surfaces were clean, but the carpet in our room VERY dirty, and the grout on the bathroom floor and in the shower also very dirty. We were happy to stay there for the historical significance, but the next visit there will be at another hotel. They could have made up for the condition by giving us free parking in their lot during our 2 night stay (it was $22 a day and was a block away) or given us a complimentary meal. The staff we met were very nice and helpful and friendly. The checkout time was 11AM and we were not allowed late checkout when we were delayed waiting for a table at a local eatery. That was sad because we had to race to get the car then find a place to park it and hope our reservation wasn't given away. We took a mineral bath while there which was delightful. In general, our stay was positive, but, as I said, next time we will stay somewhere else. "

Not smack dab in the middle of all the hustle, but close enough to get to anywhere we wants within 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again. "
