Mark Twain's boyhood home invites you to step into the world that inspired Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Explore limestone caves, take a riverboat cruise, or hike to Lover's Leap for spectacular Mississippi River views when morning fog lifts.
I’m so glad I stayed at this charming and historic bed & breakfast just a few blocks away from the riverfront in my favorite little old town of Hannibal. Everything was within walking distance and it felt a little like going back in time. I highly recommend the Garden House B&B for the authentic Hannibal experience!

Stayed three nights in row. No issues whatsoever. Beds very comfy! Clean rooms, are in process of painting and updating but you don’t hear noise.
Breakfast is about same
As most hotels……we never care for them.

Economical while still providing a clean, welcoming environment with friendly staff. I always stay here when I visit Hannibal. Breakfast is good. Some chipping in the bathtub but didn’t affect function at all. A great deal overall.

Loved our stay here. The hotel is definitely in a state of being refurbished but if they keep at it and get it back to repaired, it will be an amazing place. For now, it's a great place for a quick overnight. The breakfast was above par and the staff incredible. Hope we can come back this way and see the progress in the future.

We live an hour from Quincy. We had several medical appts lined up and stayed overnight to facilitate that. We have stayed here more than once before, but I always forget that they don't have a microwave in the rooms. Be aware of that. I know there are several good reasons they only have one microwave in the hotel (in the Lobby), and it usually isn't a problem. But, this time, I had a sore throat and had brought tea bags with me and REALLY just wanted to make a cup of tea for my Daughter and I,...

There were full trash cans and old dishes from room service near our room the entire time we were there. I reported it in the evening and everything was still there the next morning. Not a real good look!

Recently renovated hotel was spotlessly clean with a warm welcome from the staff when we pulled up during a snow storm. Cheap renovation with builders grade furnishings but delightful ambiance regardless. Would return.
