我們住日式榻榻米房。沒有人幫我們開床。要我們打電話叫他上來。但只派一個人來。我們是四人一房,最後我們都要幫手。

Tranquil hotel
Wonderful, luxurious hotel near some great museums. Staff speaks little English so may be a problem. We managed however to get around by bus, even though this hotel is pretty isolated.

Very nice hotel and amenities in a beautiful area. Staff speaks minimal English, but was still very accommodating. Would suggest renting a car for Hakone, as it's a bit tedious to take the bus everywhere, even if it's easy and nearby.

A Relaxing and 2 Day Stay
The room was very large and comfortable as well as a large bathroom which was well stocked with toiletries and a special spa kit with lotion and cleansing oils. The dining room was lovely and we had a wonderful buffet dinner, with lots of choice and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Both meals offered both Japanese and Western selections. We very much enjoyed the onsite onsen. The hotel seemed to cater mostly to a Japanese clientele and the front desk staff English was somewhat limited, but it wasn't a problem as they were extremely helpful and gracious.

Onsen hotel with big and new room
Room is very big and breakfast is nice. The hotel are quite new including lobby, room, onsen and restaurant, and free massage chair in the lounge facing a very good mountain view of hakone. Bad thing is you have to set your bed on tatami, which is normally set by staff in other Onsen hotel. And there is lack of restaurant and convenience store near hotel.

Pleasant mountain retreat
The hotel took some time to reach -- about 45 minutes by bus from the Odawara rail station, but I noticed after leaving there's also a direct bus to Tokyo that has a stop not far from it. So from Tokyo the direct bus would be a better option. The hotel has the atmosphere of a beautiful peaceful sanctuary in the mountains. My room was Japanese style and was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed with a view of the garden and mountains beyond, large bath area, and comfortable new-looking futons. The spa area on the sixth floor has a wonderful pool (quite warm water which I liked) that is large enough for exercise swimming and only on the second day were other people there, but still not too crowded. The onsen section was great, with several indoor and an outdoor bath. I didn't eat at the hotel, choosing to have dinner at the Indian restaurant across the street (lovely patio but a bit expensive), and there's a grocery store about a 6 minute walk down the road. My only complaint was that throughout the hotel, spa area, and hallways to rooms there was music that was like jewelry box tunes -- the tinny sounds to me are quite grating, and I could hear the music from my room, so I asked staff to turn it down in the hallway and they did. Aside from that, a nearly perfect stay.
