I am guessing this is a black swan (Thanks to Charles Arcudi - comments below - I now know it is a Mute Swan...be sure to check out his photos...very, very good). I am a complete fool when it comes to classifying living things...guess I should have paid more attention in biology class...my bad.

I know it is a bird and that it eats things in order to stay alive and this fella was munching down when I took the picture. The fish below him wanted to get at the food, but I gather that the swan wasn't about to let that happen.

Eat, float around and watch the sun go up and down. I mean, why is our life better than theirs? Can someone remind me...I must have missed that class as well.

"Mingdu Hotel in Kumming, China did not fulfill the advertised free shuttle pick up from the airport. Their contention was that it was an advertisement by a third party, i.e. Hotel.com was not authorized to offer free airport shuttle in its offer. "Nostalgia is one of the best hotels we stay in China for the last 3 weeks that we have been travelling in China. Our family room was clean and has a mini bar with drinks and yogurts that were free, The hotel has thoughfully included items that are free to offer to guests from arrival with afternoon tea and supper, during stay wirh band-aids, hair bands, disinfectant tissues, masks, shoe cleaning cloth, earbuds, dental floss, microwave, coffee and teas. Other good hotel amenities are the 3 spacious lounges equipped with a game table and a gym. There is also a luggage room for storing luggage while travelling to nearby cities for short trips, which is handy for overseas travellers. The hotel is situated within a 10- 15-minute taxi ride to the CBD and within walking distance to a subway station, which is great. Across the road, there is a side street filled with street food hawkers. We would recommend anyone wanting to stay in a nostalgic hotel with easy access to the subway and not far from the city."
