Really nice hotel for the price. Spacious room with nice view. 30mins walk to Nanping St for food and shopping. Only drawback that the hotel allows smoking.it has a strong smoke smell in hallway even on a nonsmoking floor.

Excellent and highly recommended

Stayed in a club room and it is big and spacious and the bed is comfy too. The view is breathtaking at level 40. The service at the club was top notch with a good list of drinks and food was fresh and delicious.

Great modern hotel. Spacious room w comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and great service. Jessica at the reception desk went out of her way to make us feel welcome, as did the other staff members.The hotel is close to the train ststion, an additional plus if you want to travel to other Yunnan areas.

An excellent stay at Sofitel Kunming. The services are awesome & my room is very clean. A very convenient location as well. Their staff, Jessica is a very outstanding person. She helped me booked my roundtrip train tickets from Kunming to Dali. And more. She is a very responsible & helpful individual. I'd like to give her a 5 Stars out of 5 for her remarkable service as well. I really appreciate everything that she has done. I will stay in Sofitel Kunming again in the future when I'm back.

My fiends stayed at their room had no hot water. They were put into a room that was not used. Moist with mildew type atmosphere. That room had issues and repairs were done at 2 am. Breakfast was far less than expected, no cheese and far too oily foods! Never again!!!!!!

there were issues that should be fixed. the bathroom has not enough light for shaving. the desk power plug door has hinges that make it difficult to open. there is power only on one side of the bed. Noise on our final night from the water riser. there was no control to turn off the bed side lamps without turning all lights off. Happy hour was great. the people working at the hotel were wonderful but few spoke English. however, with all the new translators that was not a big issue. i think we were the only foreigners in the hotel. very nice looking place with fantastic views.

Très bien mais...

Très bon hôtel, un poil vieillissant : personnel d'accueil très sympathique, grande chambre confortable (malgré le lit trop mou). 2 points noirs et incompréhensibles : les vestiaires de la belle piscine intérieure étaient très sales, notamment les douches ; et le service du restaurant Kwee Zeen est catastrophique. Le buffet est magnifique, mais il n'y a pas de réassort. Les stands sont mal tenus, il manque parfois des couverts pour se servir mais surtout, le restaurant est sensé fermer à 21h30, mais cuisiniers comme serveurs commencent à ranger et nettoyer dès 20h... Dommage...
