"Excellent location, rooms are clean the only blot was we waited an age for drinks from the bar once we ordered over 15 mins for simple drink. It wasn’t even that busy. Others around us were equally getting frustrated."

"The onsite restaurants and bars are very good. The location is amazing. The room, while clean was very outdated. 2 faucet sinks, a step over tub, carpets warn and coming up in areas. The bed was pressed up against a wall on one side, so I had to crawl in and out of it. All of this would have been ok if the room was priced about 1/2 what it was. The price would have been ok if the room was modernized with step in shower, single handle faucet, a new floor etc… overpriced for what it was."

"This felt more like a proper hotel than a hostel. The location was great, close to the ferry (which is free when you stay there) as well as bus transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was only there for one night so didn’t take advantage of breakfast or bar but it’s something I will consider in future. My room was a nice size with a tub which I love and a view of the water. It’s a great spot if you’re traveling solo very cost effective. Will come back in future"

One Hundred Shoreditch

10/10 Excellent

"I had the most amazing time at One Hundred Shoreditch especially as a solo female traveler. The staff were amazing the moment I checked in, they made me feel right at home sharing plenty of recommendations to someone new to London like me. I had great chats with Ayaub, Golder and Mickey (excuse the spelling!) every day when I arrived or left the hotel. It's a great vibe, they have a nice lobby where a lot of folks are working from alongside a coffee shop. The rooftop bar and Seed Library bar were amazing as well I had delicious cocktails. Location is very central to Shoreditch and my room was amazing, it had a little nook with a city view and I sat by the window everyday people watching. I can't wait to visit again!"

Club Quarters Hotel, St. Paul's

"We had a lovely stay at Club Quarters. We stayed here as we had a wedding nearby, it was the perfect base, with a comfy bed, nice and clean with a good breakfast. Mariana (I believe was her name - sorry I lost the card with the name on!) was incredibly helpful. We asked to leave our bags and use a room to freshen up prior to the wedding and she was able to check us in early so we could use our room and leave our stuff there instead. This was really appreciated as it also meant we did not have to pop back to check in (as we would return after check-in closed) and could just enjoy our day. The hotel was a little noisy early morning, but that is kind of to be expected being so central. Otherwise this area is fairly quiet on the weekend as it is mainly "corporate". Thank you again for a great stay."

Limehouse Library Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Our experience at the Limehouse Library was fantastic. It's even better in person. Each room is designed after a person. We (three women) got the family suite and ours was after a Turkish doctor, Dr. Türkan Saylan. The suite felt like a mini apartment and was spacious, well designed, and overall a fun/quirky place to stay. I'd absolutely book again next time I'm in London. Oh! And all the staff was so helpful and kind. They helped carry our luggage up and down. Wanted to highlight the rooftop terrace as well, a beautiful and private spot to wind down. The security to our area made us feel even better. The only negative things I can think of is the shower set up and the area itself. The "door" of the shower only covers about a third of the tub so after a quick rinse, the floor is soaked. It wasn't a real problem, but definitely worth noting if need be. The area is a little on the fringe but coming from LA, I didn't find it intimidating (for female travelers). Just pay attention to the lifts at the nearby station, sometimes they're "occupied." Had a great time!"
