My wife and I just finished up a November vacation in Iceland. We plan to do another vacation to Iceland again in summertime so we can drive the Ring Road route. When we come back, we're already looking forward to staying at this hotel again -- the staff mostly consists of the owners, and they take pride in seeing that their services and quality are of a high standard, while yet at very reasonable prices. Everyone is most attentive, the rooms are very clean and have a quirky decorative charm,...

I had the most enjoyable stay at Eyja Guldsmeden! A very clean hotel with excellent service! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Special thanks to Laura who was super nice and helpful with dining recommendations! Will be back!

The owner and staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. They also went out of their way to make sure any questions we had were answered. Parking was free, great complimentary breakfast. Property is about a 40 minute drive from the airport, 15 min walk from the center of town. They really care about their business here. Support local small businesses. They truly care.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel. Breakfast was great! Not too much around the neighborhood , but great for what we needed it for.

The hotel is conveniently located, tours pick up right outside the front door. The included breakfast was fabulous. Parking is included. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. We will absolutely stay again next visit.

Best breakfast ever! Really liked that our room had a small window that could be opened. We had a car so location wasn’t a problem but without your own transportation the location would not be convenient.

Best view and

Bar and restaurant were great

Staff was extremely helpful with ideas for things to do during a blizzard. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was cozy and warm. Great location.

Love hotel halfway between the airport and downtown. The room itself was super comfy (with a lovely bathtub!) and the concierge was very helpful. The breakfast was your typical nice hotel breakfast (eggs, bacon, cold cuts, etc), plus a sampling of exotic meats (e.g. smoked whale). It’s about a half hour walk to downtown if you take the shopping street (just down the road and up to the nearest light and to the right), or maybe 40 min if you take the shore and sculpture walk (which has gorgeous...

Great hotel. The location is perfect because it’s close to downtown and offers free parking. Quiet area, nice rooms, great staff and attention. Thank you

always very accommodating, very friendly staff, location is great

We had such a comfortable stay here, room and bathroom was spacious and very clean! Smells really good! Breakfast was great!

Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were elegant, comfortable and cozy. The breakfast buffet each morning was fabulous with lots to choose from, including smoked salmon, local cheese and fresh bread made at the bakery next door. I was able to book a Golden Circle Tour and a day at the Sky Lagoon at the front desk, a very convenient service. For the Golden Circle Tour, the front desk staff recommended a small tour company with...

Lovely hotel with all the amenities we needed. And the upgraded room for the view was fabulous!!

Clean, cozy, beautiful, well located hotel! Above all, the hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They helped us immediately when we had issues finding the bus back to the airport, and solved our problem and our stress of missing our flight. For us that was service above expectations and we are so greatful. I will always recommend staying here!! Thank you!

Nice laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Can wake up to the sounds of the waves and spend some time by the water. We were able to see the northern lights from right outside of our hut. A fair price for lodging and an amazing experience.

The Canopy was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were all helpful and friendly. It’s located in a spot that is within walking distance to just about everything in Reykjavik. I’d definitely go back!
