「My new favorite Austin hotel! Really great boutique hotel just minutes from downtown and a couple of blocks off the lake and Austin greenbelt. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the hotel has a great sense of that famous "Austin Funkiness" while still feeling high quality, with great little details and touches everywhere you look. Having a hip austin coffeeshop on premises and many restaurants and bars within a short walk was also a plus. Can't wait to stay again!」

「The property is lovely. Signage to the guest rooms on the first floor is greatly lacking and confusing. My room definitely needed a deep clean. Lots of dust on lamps, pictures, etc. The safe didn’t work. All relatively minor, but for the cost of the stay, it really should be pristine. Room service brought me fruit that was past its prime and even had mold on one of the strawberries. 」

Food was very good and Frederick the waiter was lovely. He remembered our specific requests from the previous day. Wonder stay! 」

「East Austin Hotel is in a great location in walking distance to great restaurants, bars and comedy clubs in downtown Austin. The hotel itself has a very retro/boho vibe and the rooms are very clean and modern. The onsite restaurant has a great menu as well. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back again. 」

We had a power outage our last day and the generator kicked in pretty quick, but we had limited service (partial channels, one elevator, only two food choices in the restaurant - wings / chicken tenders). The room looked nice and the bed was comfortable. The room was lacking in drawer space - it had the TV stand that had a space for the fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It had three small drawers. 「This is a modern hotel in an ideal location with just a few minutes walk to the city and lively bars on 6th Street. Our room was large and well equipped, breakfast was very good and the staff were great. The hotel has parking but we didn't use this facility. I would recommend walking down 6th Street away from the city (About 15 mins walk) under the I35 for a more laidback relaxing day/evening with some great bars, restaurants and micro breweries (Zilkers Brewing, Lazarous Brewing and Saddle Up...
