"The only criticism I have is that the showers didn’t have a ‘dry bit’ to keep towels and clothes etc while showering, I had to leave outside. Was a bit difficult to find but I think that’s just because of the roadworks. Everything else was fantastic, really really good value."

"Absolutely surpassed my expectations. I stayed in a suite and the room was nicer than most hotels for an incredible price. Outstanding view. Staff was friendly and remembered me every morning (tho I was only there 2 nites)! Breakfast was good and online ordering was easy. The record player and records were a great added touch. I did a tour of the cellars there as well and the hostel provided discount tickets. Such a great visit. I’d absolutely come back!"

"Like some of the reviews have already described this place..I really wondered what type of accommodation this is supposed to be, a school? A prison? A youth hostel? Definitely the strangest place I’ve stayed in and wished I’d read the reviews before booking, as I’d booked it in a rush. Stayed in 6bed female dorm, locked with a physical key rather than the normal electric which meant that I wasn’t “allowed” to lock it at night while I slept, which was scary as a solo female traveller bc anyone...

"Great hostel, owner is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Place is just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Gaia and Porto, so its quiet, but also convenient. I got a private room in this hostel, but I'm sure a dorm room would've been fine. Free breakfast every morning and owner offers recommendations or engaging conversations about Portugal and Porto. They did my laundry for 10 euros too, which was great. "

"Verkligen prisvärt. Enkel frukost. Inga busskommunikationer till och från centrum, Espingo. Taxi för två kostar inte mer än två enkelbiljetter för vuxna på tunnelbanan i Stockholm. Omtänksam personal. Pratar främst portugisiska. Vackra omgivningar. Särskilt naturskyddsområdet i närheten."

"I enjoyed the luggage lockers that were very large and conveniently opened with the key card. I liked the insuite bathrooms; things felt private. I thought the beds were comfortable although the bottom bunk did have a bit of a low roof. The rooftop bar is nice and the dinners are cheap. Overall great experience. "
