We loved our stay here. We stayed in a private double room with our own bathroom which was wonderful. The room was clean and tidy, shampoo and body wash was provided, as well as a hairdryer. The hostel itself was spotlessly clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were brilliant. Free wifi is available throughout. It had a very convenient location, a short walk down the hill took you to the river and all of the port wine sellers! Very close to the Ponte Luis bridge to take you in to Porto. I would highly recommend this hostel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much for a pleasurable stay!

Great hostel, owner is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Place is just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Gaia and Porto, so its quiet, but also convenient. I got a private room in this hostel, but I'm sure a dorm room would've been fine. Free breakfast every morning and owner offers recommendations or engaging conversations about Portugal and Porto. They did my laundry for 10 euros too, which was great.

The private room was nice. Had lots of space. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Within walking distance to the river for things like dinner. A bit further to the centre of Porto but easily doable by public transport.

Great affordable friendly place to stay.

This hostel is convenient to the Gaia port, restaurants and cruise ship terminal. Easy walk to Porto. There is a steep hill from the port and 34 steps up to our suite on the first floor. We learned from our first night to close the double glazed window to eliminate the rumble of tyres on the cobblestone road. Our hosts and their staff were very friendly and accomodating to all our enquires including a reasonable priced shuttle to the airport. Be warned there are two identical addresses in Gaia 30 kms apart so make sure your driver takes you to the one near the port.

Bästa platsen att bo i Porto tyckte vi! Minst 4 terrasser med fina blommor/ plantor/träd (tex Camelia och Citron) och fantastisk utsikt över Porto. Fräscha lokaler. Supersnälla och hjälpsamma personal. Perfekt situerad mitt i smeten. Allt var topp. (Ta med allergimedicin om man är känslig för ”gamla hus”.) Vi kommer absolut besöka Hostel Gaia igen.

Un très bel accueil pour cet hôtel de famille. Bien situé proche des quais des chais à Porto. Cuisine sur place possible et petit-déjeuner copieux agrémenté de pâtisseries locales. Attention pas de stationnement sur place mais parking à moins de 5mn (parking Général Torres pour 6€/jour). Nous reviendrons

Sejour agréable super accueil chambre très propre. Accès rapide au centre ville proche des commodités. Petit déjeuner au top accompagné d'un gâteau portugais Ce munir éventuellement de bouchon oreille car rue pavé et fréquenté par des voitures la nuit.
