Very nice hotel

This location is reliable every time. Staff is great, as well as the work out room, breakfast and location…

Welcoming staff and comfortable stay

This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything around the waterfront. I had a really late check in because of a delayed flight and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!

Excellent

This is a delightful property in a very nice part of town. The proprietor was very gracious. The room was excellent. We had a nice breakfast which was well prepared. A very lovely stay.

The staff was super friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Francis is located close to everything we needed. I loved sitting by the fire with my wife reading. There was space to park and we walked almost everywhere we went. We look forward to staying again.

Having spent the previous week hiking all over Acadia up north and Grafton Notch to the northwest, we were wiped out and in need of a quiet comfortable space to recharge for the night. The Inn itself is beautifully maintained and lushly decorated throughout with one of the most visually appealing, eclectic and layered art collections I've had the pleasure to take in. The rooms are spotless, beautifully decorated,...

Comfortable, clean, friendly. Delicious baked apple and French toast for breakfast. Would stay here again when visiting Portland. Convenient location— few minutes drive to Old Port and close to the Downeaster train station.

I booked this hotel for the pool (which was delightful) and also ordered from the excellent restaurant inside. Pillows were also very comfortable. Would stay again!
