Although a little difficult to find the entrance as there is only a sign on the door, it was great. Everything seemed new , modern and more like a condo than hotel. Short walk to the Old Port area and many restaurants.

The Docent Collection-Boyd Block was a wonderful stay! VERY clean and luxurious, we had everything we needed and more. The staff was very professional and helpful. Check in was the most efficient ever. I absolutely loved everything about Boyd Block, we were in walking distance to so many places. This was a 10/10 stay!

This was an outstanding stay. Good communication from staff along with helpful recommendations for food and activities. The lofts are nestled in between shops and a bank across the street from a park, so keep an eye out for the signage. We walked and biked around Portland and this was a great middle ground. The loft is spacious, clean and safe. It has a fully stocked kitchen, toiletries in the bathroom, cleaning supplies and umbrella (we used it). We stayed in room 204 (one bedroom) that overlooked a restaurant patio and on a clear day had a very partial view of the bay (parking garage obstructed). Definitely one of our favorite stays. The *only* thing of note is the windows do not open to enjoy the nice summer breeze. Highly recommend.

I stayed in a beautiful, tastefully renovated 1 bedroom loft in the best part of Old Port with my teenage daughter. The block was lively and we had the best views of it but what was interesting was how quiet our place remained. I didn't need to rent a car as everything we could possibly need was in walking distance. There is an abundance of art and food in this area. Things are very quick to get to. Even the airport was about a 15 minute uber. I highly recommend the Docent if you are looking for low key and luxurious. Docent was very quick to respond to all my texts and they do provide on sight staffers to help you get settled in and check out as well. So there is less of an Airb quality to it. I enjoyed their recommendations for restaurants and tried them all out.

Immaculately clean, stunning interior, and perfect location were the first things I noticed about Docent’s Choice. Being half a Luddite the app for phone and figuring out how to turn the lights off and on involved me needing assistance. Not only did the staff help me, they didn’t even laugh at me or call me a “Boomer”. Great customer service! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Docent’s Choice. Everything was perfect!

The place was awesome—clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. My only complaint was the noise from the street. The windows didn’t block the sound very well, which made it difficult to sleep at night. Overall, a great place, butter I’d recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Everything from the check-in through the stay was great. I love the location as it was so central to so many things. The bed was very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was also very nice with top notch products. Having a TV in the living room and bedroom made watching the World Cup easy. The staff were also super helpful on recommendations for restaurants and bars around the area. I'll def be back in the future!
