「Room was lovely everything well thought of , 2nd visit to Newton hall but 1st visit to the garden rooms , only downfall was central heating box in hallway so kept having to go out to turn it up toom didn’t get that warm but I guess it was -2 , and also kettle had to be put on floor to be plugged in to use it which wasn’t the best 」

「Lovely stay in a quaint area. Beach walks from the doorstep and our dog was treated well throughout the stay. The outdoor dog wash was really handy too! Food was delicious and bed was comfy」

「There was only 1 fault we could find and that was drinking in the bar, extortionate prices.Apart from that 1st class across the board .Would definitely book there again but drink in the local pubs Ship Inn ,Schooner ,Black Swan ect .」

「I can honestly say this is one of the best places I've ever stayed & this certainly wasn't what I anticipated when booking. Our party booked prior to bad weather hitting & meaning we had to cancel our plans for onward travel. We ended up altering our plans & stayed on at Purdy Lodge for a second night so as not to risk travelling in snow. 「A really lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, very well maintained and spotless hotel, our room was spacious with a fantastic terrace overlooking the castle, large well appointed bathroom. Excellent food in the restaurant. My wife is coeliac and they knew exactly how to cater for her dietary requirements, nothing was too much trouble. And the location is perfect, across the road from the castle and short walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again 」
