「Lovely stay again staff always polite and helpful had 2 dogs with us this time plenty of room for them to spread out n their blankets room clean nice to have a small table and chairs great breakfast and good choice thank you Alton house see you again 」

「The room was nice if somewhat dark - dark wallpaper and dark furniture. The bathroom had a big shower but signs of mould in places. Sadly the shower didn’t work brilliantly, changing pressure and temperature. The spa was great had a fabulous massage. 」

「Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.」

「The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. The car park is conveniently placed. The English breakfast...

「We stayed for 3 nights. Excellent staff and very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. The location is perfect, the view from our room was Winchester Cathedral. Parking is reasonably priced at the hotel but you need to get there early as the car park is not very large Definitely would stay again.」
