「The room was ok the did not use the refrigerator there was water dripping from inside it but didnt need it there. Didnt notice it till I was ready to leave but there was mushrooms growing out from under the cabinet where the refrigerator was other then that it was ok」

「Facility was very convenient to my work, and my room was nice enough although the a/c was iffy and my wet towels were never picked up. My biggest problem was the lack of elevator and I was on the 2nd floor. No one ever asked if I needed assistance getting me bags upstairs. Also, the breakfast provided was terrible. No protein whatsoever, no fruit, a few bagels, bread for toast and a waffle maker. The breakfast room was very shabby and the halls were not clean.」

「I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.」

「This is a very clean and nice apartment within a very close drive to the Kinkaid boat launch. Easy to locate and can fit a car with a boat in tow no problem. This spot was also much more quiet than the campground or RV spots nearby. They have a great porch and a grill and we didn’t bring something for it which made me sad. 」

「They didn't have enough towels or rags in the room, had to take the 2 down that were in the room to get more. Plus it smelled like natural gas in the rooms. When I ask them about it they said it was because they fixed the pool and told us to just open the window. Plus they advertise free breakfast and they didn't have anything except for coffee out.」
