We only stayed one of the two nights because we woke up to discover bed bugs and bites. However, what made it worse was the front desk staff when we informed them. He dismissed our concerns, made us feel like it was our fault “they probably came in on your bags”, and was so defensive it made us feel unseen “no one’s complained before you, so it must not be us.”
To boot, when I asked for an invoice or any documentation he could provide for proof of staying, he said “there’s nothing I can provide since you booked through Expedia”.
Poor conditions sometimes happen. I get it. But horrible customer service is a choice.
