「Hotel was overall clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the lakeside pool and our room was very nice. 」

「Great location near restaurants and short drive to the Ozark Amphitheatre. Trophy Room restaurant on site was delicious as well. Will definitely stay again and will stay longer to work in a round of golf as well. The course looked fun. 」

「I gave The Courtland an "excellent" rating not because it is excellent in the same way I would rate a 5-star Hilton in downtown Portland, for instance. This is an historic building, in an historic part of Ft. Scott. It is run by ordinary folks and everything in that neighborhood is, well, historic (or old). So, it doesn't have glitz but it does have charm and it is peaceful. I would stay there again if I ever return to Ft. Scott. The owners are wonderful people. 」

「We had an amazing visit to Echo Bluff State Park. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food, the smoked ribs were outstanding. We enjoyed hiking in the area. Our only constructive feedback would be that the receptionist should know where hiking trails or other resources are. We asked for information and she said she didn't know. We found another guest who provided information.」
