「We booked this hotel sight-unseen on Expedia, knowing nothing about the property. This was one of the most delightful surprises we've ever encountered while traveling. The decor was stunning, our room was huge, the restaurant was amazing- just everything about it was top notch. From the outside, it's a very unassuming building on a fairly nondescript street, but once you step inside, you're in a time machine that evokes the Gilded Age, in a really good way. 「It was not disclosed that the property was under construction, the pictures on line were of the completed property. When checking in, we were given a double queen when we booked a King, and the front desk was not apologetic at all, just "sorry, nothing I can do about it". Also, there wasn't a working ice machine to be found. Upon showering, there was also no conditioner, container was empty. Poor experience over all.」
