"Lovely place with nice rooms. We just visited last weekend, (5-7 April 2024). Room was nice, very clean, and just what the wife & I were looking for. Staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. "It is pre-season at the Jersey Shore. Stone Harbor and the Reeds were peaceful and relaxing most of the time. In the evenings, there are options in the hotel and in the town for live music and social gatherings. When the season starts, shops will open, and more eateries will open. I have been in Stone Harbor for the fullness of a summer season, but I enjoyed it this time in the beauty and quiet of spring and the beautiful room and facilities of the Reeds at Shelter Haven."

"The Starlux was much fun. Retro. Clean. Near everything you’d want. The beds were comfy, and the staff members were very helpful. My only note is that the walls are thin and the first night I had some next door neighbors that got there at 2:30 and were up talking till 6. Was almost like they were in my room lol. So if you’re a light sleeper, just be aware. Overall would totally go back again."

"overall was a good stay, hotel staff customer service good. the vending machine in the photo is out of order, when I pushed the button for water it didn't display price. Room was good, Cable TV is above average for hotel channel offerings, a good system, had MLB channel and NFL network for free. Window AC unit worked fine, took humidity out of air."
