Madison Resort Wildwood Crest

10/10 Excellent

"Really, really good hotel! Pros: EXTREMELY modern, roomy suites with king bed (a relative rarity in the area) and separate bedroom. Nice little touches, like some handy bowls and eating utensils, tons of hooks to hand wet bathing suits, et. al. on, and lots of pillows. Excellent minifridge which could easily store about a case and a half of drinks, and an easy to use microwave (again, a relative rarity in my travels) Two heated pools and two nice and hot hot tubs were also really cool, and both hot tubs are very large. Nice rooftop patio areas with wonderful views, as well as comfortable ground level patio area complete with comfy furniture and fire pits. Staff, particularly housekeeping, is high-level. Beach is right in front of both pools and easy to access from all floors. Parking was ample and hassle-free. And the general look of the hotel lobby just screams that this is a place where you would want to stay! Neutrals: personally I liked the piped-n music throughout the property, but my wife and son despised it! Elevator looks like it has seen better days, but worked throughout or stay. Cons: really nothing major at all; about the worst thing was the lack of storage drawer space, which was odd since the rooms were so sizable, Also some minor maintenance issues such as a front door lock that required a little effort to close (fixed immediately), and a stuck drawer, which exacerbate the storage issue. 9 out of 10, one of the very best we have stayed in in the Wildwoods!"

"We felt really welcomed and excited when we arrived the person at the front desk really nice and helpful check us in and she offered us parking and charged station for 2 of my Ev cars which I used. She said those spots are exclusively for EV vehicles. Which one spot was a gas vehicle parked at it. Not a big deal, I used one of the stations and plugged my car for over 6 hours and it charge 10% and I paid $17 for it which it isn’t working for me. I decided to go and use a super charger and I come back I used the Ev spot to park my car and at 10am I received a phone call from the manager claiming that someone needed to use the charging station and I needed to move my car and also I didn’t get a parking tag for any of my 2 vehicles ( later on one of the vehicles got a tag from the front desk ). The way the manager handles the situation was very different and rude. Arguing with me over the phone about moving my car which I did and the front desk lady at the moment seemed really upset over the situation, effectively nobody needed those spots it was just the manager wanting those spots empty and interrupting my stay at the hotel for using a parking spot. Very entitled manager that even doesn’t greet customers. Making us feel unwelcome. I really appreciate the 1st woman who check us in because she was so helpful and respectful but the manager needs to be more respectful and welcoming towards customers."

ICONA Diamond Beach

10/10 Excellent

"This was our second time staying at an Icona resort, first time at the Diamond Beach location. The resort was clean and felt very safe. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our air conditioner wasn’t working well, so they moved our bags to another room for us immediately. We can’t wait to go back!"
