「The staff are amazing. It’s not far from the commerce and restaurants. Good breakfast. Beautiful view. Bad things: we could hear our neighbors all the time, even if they were just talking. Needs some noise cancelation insulation. No TV and no AC.」

「Beautiful little resort just outside of the hustle and bustle of Monteverde. Owner met us to show us around the property and let us check in early. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful property and room. Excellent food from the on site restaurant. Excellent staff. Spotless room. If we ever come back to Monteverde I wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else .10/10 all day long」

「Nepenthe is a gem. You need to grab this stay for as long as it stays a gem, the owners are getting older and are actively trying to sell. Make this trip, you will not regret it. Stay for the week, there is plenty to do around Arenal, do not spend hours driving that you could spend listening to the howler monkeys, watching the toucans every morning, or enjoying the oropendola living their day. 」

「Stayed three nights there. The price-quality ratio was really good. The breakfast was sufficient enough and made according to my timetable since my visit took place outside the high season. But most of all I want to thank the manager. He assisted me in reserving the zip-lines and the jungle visit. He also provided a laundry service at a very short notice. Pura Vida attitude at its very best. Kiitos. Gracias」

「What we expected. Nothing fancy but worked for the one night we stayed there. So a really cheap option if you need a stay for 1 or 2 nights. The host didn’t speak English but we managed with the little Spanish I spoke. Breakfast was great. Best pancakes on our trip.」

「Friendly staff and clean room. The road approaching the hotel was in terrible condition. The parking lot was not paved, and difficult to drive on. The room had a few insects flying around.」

Finding the place was a little difficult, as Waze didnt map it out correctly (initially I used Mountain Faro Hotel as it was named in expedia) so i had to stop and google address and remap with a different name.
