Very friendly and kind staff. Food was delicious and room super clean. Beautiful garden to relax after a hike. Good area close to the city center. Forget my airpods and they were sending it to my next hotel! Thanks again!

Staff was wonderful! Very helpful. Room was clean but there was a missing window pane that allowed bugs into the room. The room was cleaned well daily. We stayed in a room with 5 people, it would have been nice to have a mirror outside the bathroom so others could get ready while the bathroom was occupied. The pool was open until 8 pm but there were no lights so the pool wasn’t usable past dark at 6. Also there were only 6 chairs to sit in at the pool. The toilet seat didn’t really fit the toilet which was a little gross. There also wasn’t an area to gathering spot other than the restaurant. There were hanging swings in the entry way which was a nice touch.

When we get the room we found out that a crack on the window, we let the staff know and they fix it really quick , I’ll be honest if you are looking for luxury and modern property this is not your spot , now if you looking for a well located spot near the heart of fortuna clean, safe and well located this is it .By the way 5 star to the Bambo restaurant the breakfast it’s include this was one of the hidden gems in La fortuna town this restaurant it’s amazing crazy tasty food and shout out to luis and his wife they will make you feel like home

The amenities were clean and well presented daily. The staff is courteous and always willing to help with any challenges experienced. The added bonus was the restaurant on the property, which served fantastic meals daily, so there was no need to ever depart the location in search of a good meal. Overall, excellent location and place.

The staff really make this place, including Luiz at the lovely on-site restaurant. The location is nice and quiet, about 20 min walk to the bustle of town. And all the tours and activities offer transportation so we never needed a car. I know it’s only 3 star, but the rooms could use a few extras, like glasses, access to ice and/or a coffee machine. Thankfully we were allowed to keep a few things in the communal fridge behind reception. For the price, this was a great place to stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tangara Arenal. I booked the bungalow option, and it was a great choice. The bungalow was surrounded by plants and trees, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing or reading while it rained—and when it rains, it pours! The metal roof made the sound of the rain noticeable, but I found it soothing, like white noise. We visited during the wet season and had the usual afternoon showers, but it never bothered us. The room was spacious, with a smart TV, mini fridge, and work area. Even with another bungalow nearby, we barely saw or heard anyone. The hotel is easy to find on the main road to town. You’ll need a car or taxi to get around, but since we had a car, it was simple. Breakfast was included and served plated at the on-site restaurant—we ate there daily and also enjoyed dinner one evening. The food was tasty. The location felt safe and quiet, with a police station just a short distance away. The only area for improvement is the shower. The handheld showerhead didn’t have a holder, and there wasn’t space to set toiletries. Adding a mount and some shelving would make it more comfortable. Overall, this hotel offers great value, a peaceful atmosphere, and convenient access to activities. I’d definitely recommend it.

Lovely property, spacious rooms, beautiful landscaping and an excellent on-site restaurant which is not owned by the hotel, but independently operated. We ate breakfast there every mornng, and one evening had dinner there. Great food each time. Owner very kind and helpful. Mades left beautiful towel scupltures on our beds every day which was a delightful surprise. Would definitely stay here again.

For the price, it was a comfortable room and I enjoyed the breakfast. The bathroom could use some storage/shelves and the shower was difficult to use. We had to google how to use it! To get hot water the water pressure needs to be down low. You couldn’t stand under a stream of water as there was no holder for the shower head on the wall any higher than waist level. The location is a close drive to restaurants and shops, but not really walkable. There was a fair amount of road noise. The staff were helpful and I enjoyed having paid laundry service available.

I loved the bathroom space and bedroom very beautiful greenery and windows in our room the breakfast alone has us all amazed thank you soo much for being so helpful with helping us book our tour for the day they have soo many options and helpful suggestions thank you all for a magical stay the only things I would suggest would be to have an actual reception bathroom or at least one for more then 1 person at a time and also the pot holes coming in and out 😅 other then this very high maintenance suggestion I would recommend this place to anyone
