Barcelo Cancun hotels

"If you are a family with kids ages 0-13, this is perfect resort for you. It is a small resort- they have one main pool and a smaller pool that is mostly for families. They have events for teens/adults through out the day- standard beach volleyball, water Zumba, yoga (in and out of pool), and games throughout the afternoon. The evening shows are mid. They do have silent disco which is fun. The restaurant wait times are very long- so be prepared for that. We only at at the restaurants one night- and would hit the buffet. Few tips: across the street there are crocodiles that live in the water below the restaurant so it was fun to watch them bath or watch the waitress call them in. It is a 15-20 minute walk to either the party zone and flea market, or the mall and ferris wheel. If you walk towards the party zone, you can take the beach to the lighthouse and mayan ruins and then circle the penisula on the beach to the pier and pop out right by the super market for nice and reasonable souveniers and snacks. There are also mayan ruins towards the ferris wheel- also a 15-20 minute walk."

"Very much a family only resort. But the pools and ocean access are amazing. Food was great. Staff at the pool did an amazing job. You can't get a drink after 11pm anywhere on the resort. The restaurants are good. Service was fast for food. Drinks there were line ups. "

"We were very disappointed. We thought it was all inclusive. That was our filter search. When we arrived they wanted $2000 for all inclusive. If we knew this would not have booked hotel. It was definitely not what we were expecting. "

"It was our first time in Cancun and it went better than okay!. The staff was friendly , helpful , and nice. We appreciate the two bartenders Enrique and Jose so always providing great service. Apart from the staff , the only thing is the food isn’t the best but it is food so please don’t listen to the ungrateful people saying the food was terrible because in the end we were feed. We will definitely be coming back and we appreciate the entire staff there for making this a great vacation! "
