"The thermostat did not work, making the room too hot to sleep despite opening the windows.Several attempts to contact the hotel went unanswered.Left after one night of two night stay as I was feeling ill due to lack of sleep.Getting to room was an obstacle course due to mattresses in hallway from renovations.Hallways were filthy due to renovations.The room itself was fairly clean though. Can not recommend due to lack of management feedback or concern."

"Close to amenities, helpful staff, clean, plenty of free parking, water slide/hot tub /pool, and great coffee and water machines for everyone. Wish the pillows were better and not so soft. No breakfast included but grocery store is walking distance from hotel and there’s a frig/microwave in room."

"Our stay at Otter Hotel was great! The staff was very attentive and friendly, keeping me and my family comfortable during our time in Banff. The rooms were spotless and tidied, we didn’t even have to ask for more clean towels or robes because they replaced it with their daily clean. They have an outdoor Hot tub that has a great view of the mountains, perfect after a long day of walking. It’s paired with a beautiful sitting area around with fire places to keep you warm and a sauna that is a refreshing to be in. This place is a good area for a great getaway since it’s a walkable distance to the shops or if you don’t like walking the provide you with a local bus pass that will take you into the shopping area. I rate this a 10/10 stay especially for the price which was definitely worth it."

"We stayed 3 nights with two different reservations. We didn’t realize that the refrigerator wasn’t working, but my husband finally fixed it for the third day! The restaurant at the hotel was pricey but there were options nearby. The hotel was convenient, with bus service to town, the Gondola and other Banff attractions. We were given free bus passes. The walk to town was about 15 minutes. We had a nice stay in Banff!"
