「Upon first entering the reception is nice. It looks to have had a recent refurb. The receptionist was welcoming. We were given a room on the third floor, there is a lift. The layout of the hotel was like a rabbit warren a confusing at times, but we found our way around. Upon entering the room it had a lounge, bathroom and bedroom, which would have been lovely. 「This is NOT a 3-star Hotel. The room carpet was dirty; the toilet would not flush; the Wi-Fi connection was terrible; the double bed was very uncomfortable (we had to rotate the mattress). Incredible building, but not well looked after; it has seen better days. Would be worth booking a Travelodge or Premier Inn for a bit more money.」

「Worst hotel experience ever it was awful, 32 steep wooden steps to our room carrying luggage, the room was cramped no space to move, we had a metre high clothes rail on wheels with 3 hangers we had a TV on the wall that didn't work and little did we know the rooms are situated above a night club pounding music until after 2am we couldn't open the windows as drunken kids were all shouting and partying outside, this cost £80 a night which is appalling just for room only x no mention of any of this...

「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed.
