"Decent hotel for its age. Pool good, parking easy and free. Handy location. I'd give them 7 out of 10 though. Lose 1 mark for condition of pillows and comfort of bed (sleep was badly disrupted). Lose 2 more for the member of staff (lets call her a mature and formidable caucasian woman) on breakfast duty on our last morning. Don't know whether she singled us out for mistreatment because we have a infant or because we're a mixed race family but not appropriate in any way. Shame as all the other staff were lovely throughout our stay."

"Lovely hotel and extremely clean. We were in the club house room which is in a separate building from the main hotel. The room was very clean and modern. My only complaint was there were 2 small bottles of water put out for us like most hotels do but they were half full and the seals were broken so were not new. Also they provide fresh milk in a fridge in the reception area which is really nice but the one I had which was well in date was sour so I think the fridge was not cold enough. Also the ice machine was not working. I did mention this to the reception and it was all rectified immediately. Also the hand wash and shower gel bottles in our room were empty but I brought my own so that was fine. I would suggest that housekeeping do a more thorough check on these things in the future as it is little things like this that can let a lovely hotel like this down. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious and excellent staff. Although we had a few small problems we would definitely stay here again as the standard is very high. "

"Room was very good and well appointed. The maintenance team need to re-mastic the bath, though. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. But the hotel manager needs a talking to. Saturday was exceptionally busy but management only allocated one person to the bar with a 20 minute wait to be served. The bar lady was brilliant. The manager needs to ‘act down’ and plug the gaps when needed. This is typical of management in this country who sit in offices rather than working at the coal face when needed. "
