"Our room was large and comfortable. The parking lot was also spacious and offered easy access to the facility. The staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown Potsdam, where the hotel is located, is largely deserted, with empty storefronts in most of the historic buildings. However, there is a beautiful riverfront park right next to the hotel that offers pleasant views of the water and surrounding scenery. Also, even though the Potsdam area does not offer boutiques or other high-end shopping or dining options, one can find department stores, discount outlets, grocery stores, diners and practical dining options just a few minutes away by car."

"Rooms have comfortable bedding and very clean. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and soap are good quality. Coffee is good and options are oat milk, creamer, milk. Easy to walk to Clarkson. Continental breakfast of cereal, toast, peanut butter, jelly, bagels, apples and bananas."

"My sister and I stayed 3 nights at Northern Family Motel. The motel room was on the small side, but had a queen bed which was very comfortable. The owners were friendly and pleasant to deal with. We would stay there again as it was convenient to what we needed to do in the area. However, the AC unit was quite noisy, so we used the fan option which was much quieter. All in all a pleasant stay."

"The staff were very friendly. The room was beautiful,spacious, and clean. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning our room . My husband loved the pool. Very refreshing. The breakfast was great especially the pancakes."
