The city oversees dozens of parks, playgrounds and gardens ranging from park squares to relatively secluded hiking trails. Saxon Woods Park is a popular outdoor destination. Throughout the year, White Plains holds several seasonal events and festivals. If you are in town, the New Year’s celebration and the St. Patrick’s Day parade shouldn’t be missed. In winter, dress warmly and head to Ebersole Ice Rink in Delfino Park. The rink is beloved by figure skaters, hockey players and even those putting on their skates for the very first time.
