「The whole hotel was spotless, everyone was so kind, nothing was a problem, a special shout out to Sarah, she was always on hand, friendly and happy to help, it makes a big difference to a happy stay. Food was good and hot, room was warm and bed was fab with proper pillows, not the small hard rocks that other hotel favour! This is our second stay and it is a great base to explore the lakes from. 「One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.」

「The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. 「Everything was clean. The modern kitchen offered everything that we needed. The living room was small but cosy with the log burner. The staff satisfied our request with a baby high chair (a travel cot was also possible but we did not need it). The only issue for us was the shower which was not very powerful.」
