Super hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Good food and quirky characterful establishment. Convenient for the town, easy walking distance. Parking can be a challenge near by. A little more detail cleaning the bathroom would be great. Enjoyed staying here.

Golden wedding anniversary stay

Could not fault our stay room cleanliness excellent. It was our golden wedding anniversary and Glenda made us a special desert, would recommend homelands to anyone.

Staff was very helpful, especially in accommodating early arrival. The garden room and the garden itself were quite pleasant. Unusually good sausages at breakfast, Right across from bus stop.

Beautiful stay

From arrival to departure Glenda and Daniele were amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to room 3 which was beautiful and comfortable. Gorgeous views of the garden. Breakfast was delicious and we also had an evening meal, authentic Italian food. We had an amazing visit. Highly recommended

Bike trip

The owners were friendly. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, and I had a very secure spot to keep my bike overnight which was the most important thing on a bike tour :)

Great place to stay in Barnard Castle

Just an overnight stay, I wish it had been longer. Very comfortable room, lovely dinner (with homemade ice cream) and my favourite breakfast (scrambled egg & smoked salmon). Easy to park.

We arrived on a wet and windy teatime and were very warmly welcomed by the host. The property was very homely and cosy and the room was very nice, they had thought of everything including shower caps which I appreciated. There was even some rhubarb pie for us- a lovely touch. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and plentiful. If we come back to the area we will be sure to use again and thank you for the cake recipe which I cant wait to make

Comfy Clean room. Had a lovely vegetarian breakfast. Accommodated my out of hours check in as I was working nearby and couldn’t make the normal check in times. Would stay there again.

I had a lovely stay. The couple who run the guesthouse are lovely. The breakfast was outstanding. Nicest breakfast I’ve ever eaten.
