Excellent location near Boston University, bars, restaurants, etc and just a few minute walk to Fenway. We had the downstairs suite which was extremely roomy and had a full kitchen. While there was no front desk, the reservation team was responsive, polite and helpful.

Beautiful!

My daughter and I stayed here for a couple days while she was checking out BU. It’s a great location near the university. Beautiful old building and recently renovated. We contacted the hotel a couple times and they were quick to respond and very friendly. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Stayed in the one bedroom suite with family of 5, it was a perfect stay. Suite was beautifully decorated and bed was as comfortable as my bed at home. Kitchen had everything we needed for dinner in. Close to T and Fenway, area felt very safe and walkable with kids. Utilized parking out back which was convenient. Would definitely stay again when visiting Boston.

Boston Charm with Great Location

We loved the location of the Charlesgate Suites. You're a couple of blocks away from the Kenmore station which is located on the green line for the T which allows you to get to basically an part of Boston. Our family enjoyed the charm of this brownstone home as it felt reflective of Boston's character itself, but the interior has been updated for comfort. If we're to visit Boston again we'd certainly consider staying at Charlesgate Suites again.

We had an excellent stay, it was nice and clean. The location was amazing. The service had some slight hiccups with communication but overall very good and helpful when needed. It did get warm in the room at times because the AC couldn’t stay at a certain temperature consistently, but not to a point where it was uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend and would come back if we ever visit Boston again.

Pros: old school “row house” vibe, right outside of Boston University; felt pretty safe, with lots of food/bars in the area, with transportation and shopping close by too. Good location with a short walk to lots of shopping , food and architecture. Modern clean room with functional kitchen . Bathroom has radiant heat flooring. If I had to pick at any minor issues it would be the noise as a result of facing the highways (I liked it but others in my family didnt) and some minor trash around the parking lot area. Overall very satisfied for the price.

Great place and location, a few hassles

We had problems with registering online and uploading photo ID in advance, and when we arrived the automated door lock wasn't working, so we had to reach out via hotels.com to get the back door code. It was a hassle -- but thankfully they responded promptly (it was during day time, I wouldn't have wanted to deal with this at night) -- but once we got into the unit, it was excellent. Spacious, very comfortable beds and furniture, great shower, clean, convenient to BU and transit. The kitchen was minimally stocked and could have included a few things for cooking (salt/paper, maybe oil/viengar) in addition to the coffee/sugar supplies provided. We really enjoyed out visit and will stay again, with the caveat of knowing to expect a few hassles, given its great location and comfortable amenities.

Gorgeous Accommations Near Kenmore Square

Having gone to college and lived in the area years ago, I was excited to find this property to be our homebase asI took my children on collgege tours. It is a beautiful brownstone just a few minutes walk from the Kenmore T station, but it was incredibly quiet!. Knowing there are dorms and fraternity houses close by, I wondered if it would be chaotic and loud, but it was peaceful and serene. The unit itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for 3 of us to stay comfortably. Everything was immaculate. The only downside (which I knew going in) was staying on the 3rd floor with no elevator. However, our beautiful view more than made up for having to lug suitases up and down.

Great space, great location. Just as advertised. Oct 2024 EVERYTHING looked new…floors, appliances, paint, furniture. Everything. Everything worked well ( though the fireplace would only stay lit for 5 minutes. Exactly FIVE). Communication was awesome. Prompt and helpful. Only criticism: did not know that there was NO ELEVATOR until the day of check in. At 61 with bad knees and four bags, getting settled in was a major hassle. Four narrow flights of winding stairs. Other than that…outstanding!!!
