"The hotel looked a little older than I imagined but still very beautiful & eclectic. Amazing staff from the valet to the housekeepers, always willing to help and kept a smiling face. The valet/ doorman worked hard and stayed busy, but I didn’t hear any complaints. The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming, which I truly appreciate. Only one elevator worked at the time of our stay and the stairwell was a little shady looking. The working elevator usually took a while and shook a little when moving. The only thing we didn’t really like, please be aware that valet is not 24/7 and we were unable to get our vehicle during a time that we needed it but overall a nice stay. If we decide to stay here again, it will only be due to the amazing staff. Give them all raises! Thank you guys for helping to make our weekend special!"

"The location was fine. It's just off the interstate and was minutes away from the venue in downtown Alabama that I was visiting. There are multiple food options near by and a newly constructed ChicfilA is being finished up at the moment. Literally, the workers were working at 2 am this morning and still at it at 10 am when we were checking out. The staff was nice and wvwn sent a check in text moments after check in to ensure all was fine. The TV displayed a welcome message to someone who clearly was not me. She did have to pause and restart or something when she was about to hand me my keys, so I'm thinking she switched my room and that is why. I wonder if the person who received my room had a better room. 🤔 I booked the room because of the hotel's high Google rating but I feel like more care could have been given to cleanliness. It wasn't filthy, but I think they may lean more towards quick spot cleaning rather than thorough attention to what a room needs. Also, when wear and tear occurs, hospitality providers should address to sustain the attractiveness of the facility. There was obvious scuffing, chipping, peeling, crumbs, stains, etc that housekeeping and maintenance are not addressing. This gives me pause in any location because the purpose is comfort away from home. I don't want to spend money a day be in a place where I have to worry about shortcuts taken. "Overall the hotel was nice. I wasn't expecting that, but it was nice. However, i had several issues that were taken care of, but my biggest issue was bugs. To be clear, bed bugs and stink bugs. 1. I went to shower and found there was no soap (bodywash) and pieces of hair that wasn't mines; and the faucet wouldn't stop dripping. I called the front desk and the night attendant brought some up. Then, I saw the first of 5 sink bugs and killed it. Then, when I pulled the sheets back, I found the second sink bug and bed bug laying there. I pulled the sleeper sofa out and found a bed bug there. I took pics, went down stairs, made a complaint and got fresh linens. I was told the morning manager would handle would a full or partial refund. After making the bed and settling in, the 3rd stink bug showed up and was killed. The next morning, while scrolling thru my phone, the 4th stink bug landed on my shoulder. I went downstairs to speak with the manger who told me since I went thru a 3rd party payer, the 3rd party would have to contact the hotel for refund details. When H.com called, the manger downplayed everything saying I must have left my door open and the bugs may have come thru the A/C vents. He offered to credit me $25.00 of my total price, (which did not happen). Later that evening, while watching tv, the 5th stink bug showed up. Needless to say, my stay was not the best. "

"When we arrived there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait 20 min before they came back and we could check into our room. We were in town for an event so we left shortly after checking by in and came back by 8. We took our kids to the pool and as we were walking in there was a group of kids running out. They warned us that there were adults just outside the pool windows who were smoking and saying scary things to them so they were scared. There was a group of 5 young adults who came in from smoking weed and made sexual comments in front of another guest who had her young children with her. After they left we went to swim in the pool until we saw that it had a green/brown tint to it. We left and informed the front desk of the condition of the pool and the adults who were scaring other guests including children. His response was that he had already been dealing with them and showed his frustration but said he didn’t want to escalate the situation be involving the police so he was hoping they’d just go to bed. In the morning, the breakfast was very unorganized and the waffle machine only worked some of the time. When we left we asked for the manager and we were told he would be in at 1pm. Apparently the manager is only there for 2 hours or less out of the day because when we called later that afternoon they said he was not in. No one was willing to correct any issues during or after our stay and we will not be back. "

"The entire experience was horrible. The hotel was under construction, no mention of that when I booked the room. The entrance/valet area was an absolute nightmare. No parking lot to park, you can park on the street and risk having you car broken into by the homeless people. Or pay a fortune to valet. Then you walk into the hotel and you greeted by a piece of drywall. The reception area was cramped, dirty and frankly uninviting. The room was tiny. Everything about this hotel was deceptive and disappointing. "
