"Check was speedy and without fuss. Room was of a regular, standard quality. However, we were lucky to have the weather and a beautiful view of the city. Blue sky landscape and the city lights at night. 16th floor. The air con seemed poor. Four of us in a small room, it became very warm. We did wait for air con to adjust but it didn’t. "Stayed at this hotel many times and always loved it. Clean, friendy staff and an excellent Saturday evening meal. Breakfast not as great as previous visits and coffee was a bit weak although fresh fruit was lovely."

"Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms however some of the rooms are looking a bit tired. We had room 128 a feature room. It was comfortable, bright and had a wonderful view from the bed. We had dinner in the restaurant and we all found the food very tasty and well done. Overall a fantastic stay. "

"Everything else was okay but they charged extra for parking. On expedia while booking it shows £6 for parking and they took £15 which is more than double the amount. I was so disappointed "

"We booked a club room, the room was clean, but outdated and needed refurbishment. Other than that the hotel was conveniently located in the centre of town and well managed. The room had good views of the city/surrounding water ways. we had access to club lounge where they served dinner canopies, the food was delicious. Breakfast was very good with lots of varieties. Highly recommended."

"This is an amazing property with a real history(they could make more of that. Really liked the room, it had a little internal(covered)balcony area, very interesting. With little option around the hotel on an evening the bar could stay open a little later(it closes at 10pm). The breakfast was a little pale....shall we say, but okay."
