"The bar could be open later and the staff at breakfast were a bit slow acknowledging we were waiting to be seated. The lobby and reception staff were excellent and very welcoming. Breakfast was superb. "
"We stayed at the Hotel Saint for the second time.
It is a beautiful hotel ideally located next to Aldgate tube station.
We were allowed an earlier check in at noon and offered an upgrade to a suite on the 13th floor.
We had amazing views of the London skyline.
We had cocktails at Jin Bo Law an independent bar on the 13th floor with photo worthy views.
We didn’t eat in The Cardinal restaurant this time but have eaten in there twice and it is excellent food.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in London for its high quality decor, excellent facilities and proximity to the river Thames. "
"I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience, which is why I returned. However, this stay was extremely disappointing and not reflective of a five-star standard.
We booked a Montcalm King room, but the first room felt like a basic double, so we requested a change. The second room was slightly larger but very dated and worn, which was not what we paid for.
Several advertised features didn’t work. The music/speaker system was non-functional, the TV wasn’t working properly, and I couldn’t connect my Fire TV. This left us with very limited entertainment, resulting in a disappointing and uneventful evening.
Given the price point, this was unacceptable. It felt like we were placed in an older, unrefurbished part of the hotel that does not match the standard being advertised.
While the staff were polite and professional, the overall experience fell far below expectations and unfortunately impacted what was meant to be a special occasion , my partner’s birthday.
I was asked about my stay at checkout but was too disappointed to address it properly at the time. I would appreciate this being reviewed, as the experience did not reflect the price paid or the hotel’s usual standard."
"It was a nice stay, the room with the kitchenette was spacious but the kitchenette was empty, no bowls, small plates, utensils. It wasn't a kitchenette, just a fridge."
