"We had a wonderful stay during our visit toHakone. The hotel is older but very well maintained and full of charm. Our room was spacious and had two balconies with beautiful mountain views. It included three single beds and a comfortable tatami area with a sofa and table, which made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast offered a good variety of both Japanese and Western options and everything was well prepared and nicely presented. The service throughout the hotel was impeccable—staff were very friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented. The Japanese onsen in the hotel is definitely a highlight and something every guest should experience. It is open from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m., which makes it very convenient. Our family of three, including our teenage son, enjoyed it very much. The location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to local attractions. We stayed for two nights and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hakone."

I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area. "
