"I came back to stay at the Wickwood Inn twenty years after I had last stayed here. It was lovely then, but I feared it might have gotten dated by now. No need to worry! They did a complete renovation of the inn. Still the beautiful antique-filled luxuriously plush rooms, but updated to a more muted and understated color palette befitting the current design aesthetic. The exquisite marble-clad bathroom was a particular delightThere is still no other place in town that holds a candle to this. "

There was poison ivy growing up on the stairs going down to the river, the stairs were in bad shape. There was no way to get my kayak in (I didn’t ring it but I had if I had, I would not have been able to get into it). There were no dressers to store my clothes.
