Downtown Myrtle Beach 2 Stars Hotels

"Office was hard to find; needs a clear “Office” sign. Check-in was smooth with a $100 deposit, and the front desk lady was very nice. Main issue was cleanliness under the bed. It was not swept. There were socks, mini lotions, dust, trash, and two dead roaches. There was also a long black hair under the zip-up mattress protector. The rest of the room, including the bathroom, was clean. The room upgrades are the best part. Bed and pillows were very soft and comfortable. Location is great - about a 2-minute walk to the boardwalk, and we barely had to move the car. Wi-Fi/TV setup was confusing; you have to connect through the TV and are limited to Roku live TV. Inside feels like a nice hotel, but the outside gives motel vibes. Biggest issue was the window. It has only a blackout curtain, no sheer or blinds. You either sit in darkness or feel exposed with people able to see straight in. Overall, good experience and great location. I wouldn’t stay again due to the aforementioned cleanliness under the bed and bugs, but it works if you want something affordable and close to the beach. "

"If you're looking to save a few dollars, this is the place. If I could do it over, Id just spend an extra few dollars to upgrade cleanlienss. My room smelled like cigarettes and unfresh overall. The neighboring room, connected by a inner door was opening their side and a few times I felt unsafe as I treid to sleep. Please note that so called partial veiw balcony is not private. Its the outter porch to get to the room."

"The hotel is in great location, right across the street from the beach. There are plenty of free parking spots behind the inn. The pool area was clean and in good condition. The young gentleman who checked me in and out, provided excellent customer service. Two suggestions: paint or replace the microwave oven with rust spots on top (ocean air), replace television with a more current model (the picture on the old Toshiba was not great). Thank you! "
