"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. The bedding and towels were lovely and soft and smelt nice and the bed was very comfy. It was close to Hornsea and a large Tesco. I would...

The Met Hotel Leeds - Newly Refurbished

10/10 Excellent

"Fantastic stay in Leeds. The room was lovely and clearly very well maintained, and the reception team were warm and helpful throughout. The only slight hiccup was at checkout, when a large meeting downstairs spilled into the foyer and made navigating to the front desk with luggage a bit of an obstacle course. That aside, a brilliant hotel that I would happily recommend."

"Upon arriving to the hotel, it’s in perfect location for the train station plus walking to all the sites of the city, very walkable. Staff were very pleasant. The hotel was presented beautifully, fresh scent aroma. Everywhere was clean . Breakfast a good selection. Hot water for a cup of tea, was never boiling hot. That’s one bug bare, a warm tea isn’t for me. Mine & my husbands room was very small, which isn’t a problem, although it lacked a few drawers , there wasn’t anywhere to store clothes apart from hanging a few items. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom was lovely, shower was powerful and hot. Again, nowhere to rest your toiletries and makeup. I asked for an accessible room & shower for my friends room, as she walks with a walking stick as has mobility difficulties. The room was beautiful. It was spacious, had a lovely table & chairs. The bathroom was huge . Overall , hotel was very nice. Would stay again, although I would upgrade to a more luxurious room and hope the bed would be more comfortable, as my back was very much in pain."

"Lovely long weekend away. Excellent location about a 20-minute walk from the station. Really close to York Barbicon if you are going to see a concert.Staff were wonderful.The hotel provided a hearty breakfast which was included. The room was spotlessly cleaned and room cleaning came well in the afternoon so wasn’t intrusive.There is an endless supply of tea.We were drinking in the bar one night,there seemed no closing time and when they found out about our anniversary they gave us a free round of drinks - which was totally unexpected and really kind."

"The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The room was good and clean, but the shower was a real problem… you couldn’t switch the mixer back to the bath, so had to run a bath from the showerhead. On arrival the bathroom contained 2 scrag-end rolls of toilet tissue and the toiletry bottles were dolls-house size. When we asked for the room to be serviced, they didn’t do the bed, which we had made up neat enough, but room service normally redoes it to immaculate standard! Dinner was nice, but a very limited menu. Breakfast was very good, with two notable exceptions: the coffee was extremely poor and weak. And the fruit juices (both apple and orange) were clearly watered down to half strength."
