"Set on top of a mountain with beautiful views and just a short distance from the beach, this was a wonderful place to stay! The location was peaceful and scenic, and the rooms were very nice, clean, and well maintained. "Perfect if you want an old-fashioned, really traditional Japanese inn experience. Shared public bath, views of the lake, futon bedding in tatami rooms (sit on the floor), breakfast is hot rice with a raw egg or ochazuke… it’s hard to find places like that anymore. And the bus to wherever you want to go stops either at the hotel or across the street."
