Was quite disappointed in this stay. This is my third time here at this Barcelo and did not receive the same treatment or accommodation as previously. We arrived to a broken TV, hot fridge, faulty balcony door and was shrugged off with no help or offer to fix it. We did not receive daily room cleanings or towel/refreshment replacements daily. We spoke with the front desk and got no where and were told to reach out to corporate to file a formal complaint. We are now looking to book our next trip for April 2026 and based on their customer service, we will likely be booking with a new resort unless they can offer a solution all these months later.

The room and the entire complex is always clean. There are so many staff working to keep the place looking fantastic! The staff are always so very kind and courteous, which is which is why we continue to come back.

Room was always spotless. Staff were courteous. Food was good, but not great except the French restaurant. That was excellent. Pools were a lottle chilly as they were experiencing acold spell. Gulf water and beaches were great. Did some snorkeling and saw several varieties of fish and 2 sea turtles!

This was a beautiful resort. The food was bad, I’m not sure why people are rating so high for food, we were starving the whole week and tired to get into the very booked restaurants just to find out a lot of them have the same buffet food. Also room service was a joke as it was also the same buffet food just with a price tag. If you’re a foodie don’t stay here.

Pools, property, beach and overall areas are beautiful and we never felt it was crowded. There’s so much space and areas to explore! Our stay was excellent. Some suggestions: better reception and room service, I asked for help getting kitchen items to feed my baby, dish soap or warm water for bottles and they just said they couldn’t. The kids pool area would be perfect if heated, it took my kids a lot of time adjusting to the temperature. Last, our purpose of selecting an All Inclusive resort was to avoid extra planning related to meals and activities, but we found ourselves confused about our dining options and activities, it is hard to even have a map of the property or a suggested plan to explore it, it felt like they just wanted us to stay put by the beach, pool and buffet. Exploring didn’t feel encouraged but rather an endeavour.

This is a beautiful resort, one of the largest that I’ve stayed at, with many amenities. I was there for a wedding & stayed for 1 week. The variety of pools was great! The pools are large in size - everything from lap pool to kids pool. This is a child friendly resort. The property is in excellent condition. It is a very large resort with 4 resorts in 1 & an extremely long, fine sand beach. You can snorkel right off the beach. There are 2 double decker open air buses that provide transportation to the 4 resorts. The pickleball courts were wonderful but the pickleball paddles were terrible & they only provided 1 ball. I wish that the staff spoke more English. The spa was wonderful & the seaweed detox & deep tissue massage was a treat. I used the 40% discount that was offered for making an appointment in the 1st 48 hours. The mini golf course is 18 holes & pretty challenging but the clubs provided were not putters, they were irons. There are lots of deck chairs available but people get up very early to put a towel on a chair. It was difficult to find a chair some days. Could there be a better way? We were there with a large group & it would have been nice to be able to reserve an area on the beach where we could all sit. The beach does have a lot of palm trees for shade. I have a number of food allergies & the staff at the restaurants were always concerned & very accommodating. The red wine is awful. I would expect my concerns addressed before I would return.
