「Good without complaints」

「Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended.」

「Great location on the beachfront. Well maintained property with clean rooms and the extras you would expect - safety deposit box, ironing board etc. I wasn't particularly impressed with the in house toiletries which seemed cheap. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking was easy and included in the booking price. Breakfast was fine but a little underwhelming. There was a good but not extensive range on offer. The breakfast room itself was pleasant and calm. All in all a good hotel....

「Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away.」

「Caution. We booked this location due to proximity to the ferries but on a busy weekend the authorities will not allow a left turn at the bottom of Maison Dieu road. You will be sent out of town and 3 roundabouts later able to come back. A 10 minute drive becomes 2.5 hours. The room was okay. Tired. The person that opened the front door did not introduce themselves and or say welcome. The first thing they said was “you should have received an email with check-in information.” It turns out I did...

「the hotel itself was great, staff were very helpful. They could do with installing double glazing in the building however, as it got quite noisy early in the morning given how close traffic / heavy lorries pass to the hotel. We were in the top floor, but were still woken up by it early doors!」
